Final Draft

He Used His Phone in Class

He did it to waste time.

He did it because the teacher didn’t care.

He did it to talk to his friends.

He did it because everyone did it.

He did it to watch videos.

He did it because he was bored.

He did it because the teacher was doing it.

He Skipped Practice

He did it because it was a waste of time.

He did it because he hated sweating.

He did it because it was too hot.

He did it because he had too much work.

He did it because he didn’t like the coach.

He did it because he didn’t care.

He did it because no one cared.

He Got a Tattoo

He got it for a meaningful reason.

He got it because it was unique.

He got it because his friends had it.

He got it for attention.

He got it because he didn’t care.

He got it to look special.

He got it for fun.

 Reflection:

I enjoyed writing this rebellion poem as it was quite easy to write. Apart from the last part (“He got a tattoo”) I wrote about some of the things I have done that were not exactly permitted.  I got the inspiration for the last part as I was talking about tattoos with my friends and what would happen if we decided to get them. Although I did have trouble thinking of new “excuses” after each poem, I found this overall to be a fun and creative assignment.
